Working from home with all its inherent distractions such as the laundry, the dishes and any other household chores can be difficult. Add young children to the mix and it can get pretty impossible.
Get creative and set up space for your children's play area and your office in the same room or within sight of the play area. Your child is less likely to react negatively to you working if you are nearby. Having well planned storage and organization can make it work more efficiently. For important files, a locked drawer is a must. Would be difficult to explain to a client and or your boss that your toddler used a very important contract document as art work paper. Obviously with young children especially crawling babies and toddlers you must be careful to keep electric cords from your computer etc. out of harm's way. Also, with any home with young children, tall and heavy shelves etc., should be anchored securely to the wall as to reduce opportunities for accidents.

White kitchens are making a come back of sorts. After years of dark coloured cabinets being the popular choice with consumers, there seems to be a return to brighter and lighter kitchens that start with the most prominent object being your cabinets.
White has the advantage of hiding scratches and being more forgiving of light spills and water marks where with darker cabinets these same mishaps can make your cabinets look more worn and prematurley aged. Lighter cabinets offer you a beautiful crisp look if you extend the similar white colour on your walls and floors. Add hardwood floors to a white kitchen in a warm brown colour and it warms up and softens the sometimes cool feel. White cabinets also fit nicely into a very modern and sleek style of kitchen.
Another advantage of installing white cabinets, is that it frees you up to bring in punches of colour with your wall art, decor items on your counter, your dishes etc. As these accent colours come in and out of fashion, making a change becomes an easier and less expensive change than having to replace or paint your kitchen cabinets.
